Vadodara-based drug firm Alembic Pharmaceuticals on Monday reported a 14.74 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 70.33 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 61.29 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Net sales during the reported quarter rose 8.30 per cent to Rs 501.83 crore as against Rs 463.33 crore in the year-ago period.
For the year ended March 31, 2015, net profit increased 20.14 per cent to Rs 282.93 crore from Rs 235.5 crore last year.
Net sales grew 10.31 per cent in financial year 2014-15 to Rs 2,052.68 crore from Rs 1,860.7 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Meanwhile, the company's board in a separate filing said it has recommended a dividend of Rs 3.50 per equity share.
Shares in Alembic Pharmaceuticals, on Monday, ended at Rs 34.25 apiece on the BSE, down 3.02 per cent from the previous close.
