Jackson Laboratory and AbTherx Announce Partnership for Advancing Therapeutic Antibody Discovery

The Jackson Laboratory, a nonprofit biomedical research organization, has forged a strategic partnership with AbTherx, a biotechnology innovator, to advance antibody discovery and expedite the development of vital new therapies. This collaboration involves joint development efforts leveraging JAX's extensive experience in model research and AbTherx's cutting-edge Atlas™ Mouse platform to address key challenges faced by drug developers of all sizes.

The Atlas™ Mouse technologies are designed to utilize in vivo antibody selection and maturation processes for generating human antibodies. They aim to overcome the limitations of traditional antibody discovery methods by offering improved speed, diversity, developability, and affinity, crucial for identifying viable lead candidates more efficiently than current methods allow.

JAX will also serve as the exclusive distributor of specific Atlas™ Mouse models, such as AbTherx's Full Human Diversity Mouse for monoclonal antibody development and the Binary Fixed Light Chain Mouse for bispecific and multispecific antibody development. Additionally, JAX and AbTherx are exploring opportunities to develop and distribute future models, expanding the range of innovative tools available.
