Following FDA authorization and CDC recommendation, Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) has announced that eligible customers can now schedule appointments to receive the updated COVID-19 (2023-2024) vaccines at its locations and Bartell Drugs locations in the Pacific Northwest. We strongly encourage everyone to prepare by staying up to date on all recommended immunizations."
The updated COVID-19 vaccine offers enhanced protection against currently circulating variants of COVID-19 and is recommended for individuals six months and older. According to the CDC, individuals who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past two months should receive the updated vaccine. Rite Aid pharmacists are trained to immunize customers ages three and older.
Eligible Rite Aid customers can schedule an appointment at www.riteaid.com/pharmacy/scheduler, while Bartell Drugs customers can use the online scheduling tool provided. The online scheduling tool also allows customers to schedule other immunizations, including the flu vaccine, and both the COVID-19 and flu vaccinations can be administered during the same appointment.
