EPRONTIA (topiramate) oral solution

EPRONTIA™ (topiramate) oral solution is for the treatment* of:

• Epilepsy:
• Initial monotherapy for the treatment of partial-onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients 2 years of age and older. (Monotherapy is the use of a single medication to treat epilepsy.)
• Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures, primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, or seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in patients 2 years of age and older. (Adjunctive therapy is taken in addition to other epilepsy medications.)
• Migraine:
• Preventive treatment of migraine in patients 12 years of age and older. (Preventive treatment is given to help stop a migraine before it starts.)

*A calibrated measuring device is recommended to measure and deliver the prescribed dose accurately. A household teaspoon or tablespoon is not an adequate measuring device. Once opened, unused portion should be discarded after 60 days.

EPRONTIA is indicated for:

• Initial monotherapy for the treatment of partial-onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients 2 years of age and older.
• Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures, primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in patients 2 years of age and older.
• Preventive treatment of migraine in patients 12 years of age and older.

A calibrated measuring device is recommended to measure and deliver the prescribed dose accurately. A household teaspoon or tablespoon is not an adequate measuring device. Ask your pharmacist or doctor for assistance in selection of a dosing device.
