Eye redness is a common occurrence, which can be caused by a variety of conditions, but it is usually a symptom of other eye disorders, ranging from benign to serious. After applying locally on the conjunctiva, the Viset tetrahydrozoline eye drops constrict blood vessels in the eye within minutes, which lasts 4 to 8 hours.

The preservative-free Viset 0.5 mg/ml eye drops are intended for reducing redness and decongesting the mucosa of the eye in cases of irritation and redness that are not the result of infection, but rather of eye irritation due to: smoke, dust, wind, chlorinated water, light, an allergic reaction of the eye, seasonal allergies or pollen allergies.
