Developed as a highly breathable yet durable range of coated fabrics, Dartex® MicroClimate has upwards of 20% moisture vapour transfer rate (MVTR) while remaining fully waterproof for patient comfort.

Dartex® MicroClimate fabrics can be up to TEN TIMES more breathable than a standard polyurethane coating:

Superior breathability – the special polyurethane coating, specifically designed to be one of the most breathable fabrics available for healthcare & medical applications, has been shown in laboratory testing to move moisture away quicker from the support surface interface.

Higher levels of breathability leads to:

• Less moisture at the skin / support surface interface
• Increased patient comfort as the skin is dryer and cooler

Keeping vulnerable skin cooler for longer could help reduce the occurrence of pressure ulcers.

• Stretch & Recovery – essential for pressure redistribution and the prevention of avoidable pressure injuries
• Easily cleaned – either wipe clean or machine washable.
