Introduction:
Nucleus RadioPharma announced plans to expand with two new plants covering over 100,000 square feet in Mesa, Arizona, and Springhouse, Pennsylvania.
Features:
In response to a shortage of high-quality development and manufacturing capabilities, as well as the geographic constraints imposed by the short half-life of radiopharmaceuticals, Nucleus aims to boost treatment accessibility and streamline drug development timelines by enabling production closer to patients and clinical trial sites.
The 53,000-square-foot plant in Mesa, Arizona, and the 48,000-square-foot plant in Spring House Innovation Park, north of Philadelphia, are strategically located to support key markets. Backers such as Fox Chase Cancer Center and Mayo Clinic stand to benefit from the increased capacity and proximity of these new plants.
These new plants will allow faster access to critical treatments for patients with limited therapeutic options and bring notable economic growth to the region.
The expansion is anticipated to generate around 50 new jobs at each location.
