Advent International and Warburg Pincus have successfully completed their acquisition of Baxter International Inc.'s BioPharma Solutions (BPS) business. This business will now operate independently as Simtra BioPharma Solutions ("Simtra"), a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). Simtra will continue to provide sterile contract manufacturing solutions, parenteral delivery systems, and customized support services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Under the terms of the agreement, Baxter received $4.25 billion in cash. Simtra will operate manufacturing sites in Indiana, USA, and Germany and will establish a corporate headquarters in New Jersey. Franco Negron has been announced as the CEO of Simtra, and the company will focus on expanding its services in various therapeutic areas. Advent and Warburg Pincus are committed to supporting Simtra's growth and product expansion in the healthcare sector.
