Cipla and Sino Biopharmaceutical (SBP Group) have entered into an exclusive licensing and supply agreement for Rolditamig Deuderuxtecan, also known as TQB2102, a HER2-targeted bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed for the treatment of cancer.

TQB2102 is currently being evaluated in cancers that express HER2 and has shown encouraging clinical results in patients with HER2-low advanced breast cancer. The ADC is being developed as a potential best-in-class treatment for HER2-expressing cancers.

Under the agreement, Cipla will receive exclusive rights to develop and commercialise TQB2102 in India, South Africa and five other emerging markets. The company will manage local clinical development, regulatory activities and commercialisation across these territories.

SBP Group’s subsidiary, Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group (CTTQ), will remain responsible for the manufacturing and supply of TQB2102.

The agreement combines SBP Group’s oncology development and manufacturing capabilities with Cipla’s regulatory, medical, market access and commercial expertise in India, South Africa and other emerging markets. The companies aim to support local development and regulatory approvals, with the goal of improving access to the treatment in the licensed markets, subject to regulatory clearance.

The partnership forms part of SBP Group’s strategy to expand the international availability of its medicines while strengthening Cipla’s oncology portfolio with a promising HER2-targeted therapy.
