Okomera Announces Trade Agreement with Servier to Use Tumor Miniaturization Technology in Cancer Research
22 October 2026
Okomera, a TechBio company that personalizes cancer management with its technology combining mini-vatars tumor, microfluidics and AI imaging, today announced the signing of a commercial agreement with Servier, an independent international pharmaceutical group, to use its technology in the development of new cancer treatments.
In a context where more than 90% of oncology drug candidates never reach the market, early identification of therapeutic approaches that are most likely to succeed is an essential issue for the pharmaceutical industry. Okomera’s technology makes it possible precisely to reduce this attrition by directing development towards candidates with real and demonstrated activity on tumors.
This collaboration is an important milestone for Okomera, which signs its first commercial agreement with an international pharmaceutical group. Under the terms of the agreement, Servier will use Okomera’s platform independently. Its teams will be able to generate spheroid cultures in a standardized way, analyze the behavior of these “tumor mini-avatars” in the face of potential treatments and produce data on the biological mechanisms usable in the development of new therapies, including against pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma.
Nicolas Molinié, Group Leader Target Discovery at Servier, says: “Thanks to Okomera’s technology, we can easily generate standardized data from human tumor models. The integrated platform will allow us to better characterize treatment response mechanisms and to identify the most promising therapeutic avenues more quickly. »
Silvère Lucquin, President of Okomera, continues: “We are particularly proud of this collaboration with Servier, which validates the relevance of our platform to meet the needs of the industry and research teams engaged in the development of new therapies. This agreement concretizes several years of R&D and confirms the dynamic of adoption of our technology. »
Okomera deploys its technology across the entire value chain of therapeutic innovation: from preclinical research, as with Servier, to clinical trials and patient care by clinicians. From biopsies taken from patients, his miniaturization technology reproduces the behavior of tumors and analyzes their response to different treatments. Designed as a decentralized laboratory, the platform concentrates in a single machine all the power of a state-of-the-art infrastructure. Its users themselves lead the whole process, from crop generation to data production.
Today, in oncology, nearly one in two patients does not respond to their initial treatment. By putting patient biology at the heart of therapeutic decision-making, Okomera is paving the way for a new generation of precision medicine.
