Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting supply chain disruptions, Anaerobe Systems will temporarily be using a round-bottomed tube instead of a flat-bottomed tube on newly produced lots of products using 16x100mm tubes. Media formulations, fill volumes, caps, threads, tube material, and packaging will remain the same. The only change is that the 16x100mm tubes will have a rounded bottom. Anaerobe Systems’ broth media are sterilized, poured, and packaged under anaerobic conditions (PRAS media). Our unique process prevents oxygen contamination or damage to the culture media during the manufacturing process. Our broth media are pre-reduced and ready to use out of the package, without the need to leave them in an anaerobic environment for extended periods before inoculation. Tubes are sealed with Hungate style caps which contain a rubber septum, allowing for inoculation without removing the cap or exposing the broth to oxygen.
