ADENOPROSIN
The product ADENOPROSIN ® 150 mg (suppositories) is approved as a medicine in the CIS states.
The active substance of the ADENOPROSIN ® product presents a biomass obtained from the larvae of certain species of insects ( Lymantria dispar ), which possesses antioxidant, vasoprotective, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory action.
The biologically active compounds of the preparation reduce the formation of phospholipase A 2 and the release of arachidonic acid by reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes (inhibits 5-lipoxygenase). ADENOPROSIN ® reduces vascular permeability and prostate edema.
In clinical studies it has been shown that ADENOPROSIN ® exerts a beneficial effect in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including those with irritative symptoms or the association of chronic prostatitis. The preparation regulates the tone and peristalsis of the lower segments of the urinary tract, urination becoming more effective with decreasing frequency, especially nocturnal ones.
ADENOPROSIN ® acts on pathogenic and non-specific mechanisms, improving urodynamic parameters and the condition of patients with BPH or chronic prostatitis (reduces the prostatitis index and contributes to the decrease in the number of leukocytes in prostate secretion).
The antioxidant action of the ADENOPROSIN ® product is determined by the water-soluble antioxidant compounds of the preparation and is manifested by the inhibition of lipid peroxidation.
Adenoprosin contributes to the normalization of the functional parameters of the prostate and ejaculate. It reduces pain and discomfort, removes dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.
