Flexible Fire Seal
Flexible Fire Seal
Product Description
EDT-629
Remitite EDT-629 is composed of a mixture of functional silicone polymer, fireproof filler, and ceramic wool. It is a high-performing fire-resistant material certified by ABS, BV, DNV, and LR in classes J-90 and H-120.
EDT-629 is a product with flexibility to reinforce fire resistance and noncombustibility which endures over 4.5 bar of instantaneous explosive pressure. It will play a pivotal role in protecting lives and property from blazes and explosive fire events on onshore and offshore facilities.
EDT-629 is strongly resistant to explosion, impact, abrasion as well as to corrosion. It has excellent resistance to and against seawater. EDT-629 is also proven to intercept UV and is impervious to ozone, and resists discoloration and deterioration. It is easy to reinstall, and requires little or no maintenance.
Explosion Test
Remitite performed the EDT-629 explosion test at the company’s site on September 5th, 2013. EDT-629 endured over 4.5 bar of instantaneous explosive pressure and verified the best fireproof protection material in the event of a high pressure explosion and fire.
