MA X-Tip - automated removal for pipette tips

MA micro automation takes the alternative path as a special machine manufacturer and, in addition to the fully automatic pipette tip and reaction vessel removal automation with MA X-Tip, offers its customers the option of project implementation as a general contractor. MA micro automation relies on long-term strategic partnerships with established European injection molding machine manufacturers and tool manufacturers. This enables optimal coordination of the critical production parameters between the injection molding process and the downstream production-tested automation.

Various pipette tips can be produced on the injection molding machines using 16 – 128 cavity molds. The removal takes place via an innovative, linear-driven removal axis, which can be adapted to the given number of cavities with just a few conversion steps - the removal axis is therefore universally scalable. The required grid dimension of the final rack is realized with a sophisticated handling strategy, so that the pipette tips can be placed in the rack after just a few automation steps.

The racks are transported fully automatically into the MA X-Tip via a buffer/storage section, where they are loaded and output.

In addition, our customers can access a MA X-Tip configurator that leaves no limits open. MA micro automation offers its customers the flexibility to configure their desired solution. From various 100% optical inline tests, pipette filter assembly, fully automatic linking to upstream and downstream production processes (rack, aging storage, packaging, etc.) and the fully automatic intralogistic process.
