Introduction

Amgen has announced plans to invest an additional US$300 million in its U.S. manufacturing network to expand domestic production capacity, advance next-generation manufacturing technologies and support a reliable supply of medicines for patients.

The investment will increase biologic medicine production capacity and support the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing processes.

The project is expected to strengthen advanced manufacturing operations, support workforce development initiatives and create hundreds of construction jobs.

It will also reinforce domestic pharmaceutical supply chain capabilities while supporting the continued production and distribution of biologic medicines to more than 60 countries.
