Introduction:

Delpharm has entered into a strategic agreement with the Government of Canada to modernize its injectable manufacturing facility in Boucherville. This initiative ensures that Delpharm continues its operations in Canada, reinforcing the domestic supply chain for sterile injectable medicines. The Boucherville facility plays a crucial role in the country's healthcare system by producing 20 of the 100 critical medicines essential for surgical and intensive care treatments nationwide.

Features:

The modernization project involves an investment exceeding 200 million Canadian dollars, aimed at expanding and upgrading the Boucherville site to meet evolving regulatory standards.

Key upgrades include the installation of a state-of-the-art filling line and enhancements to existing equipment, with 95% of the facility’s machinery set to be replaced.

This transformation will not only increase production efficiency but also ensure compliance with new Health Canada requirements.

The initiative will safeguard over 500 skilled jobs in Quebec, reinforcing Canada’s healthcare infrastructure and pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.

Scheduled for completion by 2031.
