PRESENTATION:
Box with 1 blister of 10 film-coated tablets
COMPOSITION:
Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen and 325 mg paracetamol.
INDICATIONS:
BIOFEN EXTRA 400 mg/325 mg is indicated for adults for:
- relief of mild to moderately severe pain: osteo-articular (contusions, fractures, dislocations, sprains) including rheumatic (osteoarthrosis, osteochondrosis, spondylosis, rheumatoid arthritis), myalgia, myositis, fibromyalgia, lumbago, headaches, including type headaches migraine, toothache, pharyngitis, dysmenorrhea;
- symptomatic treatment of fever and cold and flu.
DOSAGE:
Grown ups
The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet 1-3 times a day, administered at intervals of at least 6 hours.
The maximum dose of Biofen Extra 400 mg/325 mg is 3 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen, 975 mg paracetamol) in 24 hours.
Film-coated tablets are swallowed whole, with a glass of water, preferably after a meal.
Children and teenagers
It is not indicated for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
elderly
It is not necessary to adjust the doses, unless there is renal failure, liver failure or they have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding after taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; in this case, doses must be individualized.
