Levonorgestrel
Composition: Each tablet contains: Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg.
Therapeutic Action: Emergency oral contraceptive.
Indications: Prevention of pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse. Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) should only be used, as its name indicates, in critical situations that require it, as a last resort to prevent pregnancy and not on a regular basis. In this sense, a situation is considered to be an emergency whenever there has been unprotected intercourse.
