How Resinous Floor Coatings Work
Resinous floors are actually quite simple, in terms of their design. It starts with a plain slab of concrete, or simply the building’s foundation. This is thoroughly cleaned to remove any dirt or debris, and left to dry.
Once the concrete completely dry, a liquid resinous mixture is spread over top. This takes awhile to harden, depending on the type of mixture, but once finished it creates a single edge-to-edge surface covering the entire floor. It also conforms to the topography of the space, without leaving seams around features such as support beams either. This provides several immediate benefits:
1 – SIMPLE CLEANING
Resinous seamless floors are extremely easy to clean. Most only need soap and water, and some can be cleaned well enough with water alone. Occasional scrubbing and buffing is needed for best appearance, but other than that, no special cleaning agents or techniques are needed.
2 – DURABILITY
The exact strength of durability of the floor depends on the material coating it, but all resin-coated floors are exceptionally strong and resistant to damage. They can stand up to a lot of abuse, without chipping or cracking- which is critical in industrial spaces.
