Continuous granulation has a long tradition at Lödige. Continuous annular layer mixers are already recognized in many industries for continuous granulation.

So far, however, an adequate dryer has been missing from the delivery program. This gap is now closed by the continuous fluidized bed dryer. Together with the annular layer mixer CoriMix® and the customer-specific dosing technology, this dryer offers a complete continuous granulation line: GRANUCON®.

The dryer is based on the fluidized bed process. A general disadvantage of continuous fluidized beds is the wide distribution of residence times within the apparatus. The developers at Lödige have addressed this shortcoming and integrated a screw into the fluidized bed dryer. This makes it possible to have a limiting effect on the residence time distribution.
