Route planning, escort vehicles, road closures, transport regulation orders, permits and machinery export shipping and packaging, can also be organised.
We’ll ensure all aspects of health and safety are covered, including the provision of detailed risk assessments, method statements, lift plans, training documentation and plant certification records. - Heavy duty Versa-Lift fork trucks that can lift and carry machines of up to 36Te in weight
- Remote-controlled lorry mounted cranes which can provide a lifting capacity up to 30Te
- Hydraulic jacking systems operating up to 125Te
- Fully equipped tackle vans
- Low loaders and curtain sided transport for up to 80Te
- Merritts will also provide experienced Slinger Signallers, Banksmen and Appointed Persons.

Our fleet of vehicles and equipment is stylishly liveried in our corporate colours and all operatives wear branded corporate workwear ensuring that the Merritts brand becomes an extension of your own.
All of our transportation trailers are equipped with their own tackle box, and more complex projects will be supported by a tackle van driven by an experienced foreman. Each tackle van is fully equipped with a range of manual pull lifts, machine moving skates, claw jacks, bottle jacks, and toe jacks. There is a wide range of slings capable of lifting a variety of weights and object circumferences. The van is also equipped with personal protection equipment including safety harnesses, lanyard restraints and fall arrest equipment that our rigging operatives will wear whilst carrying out works.

Each client is assigned a Director level contact who is available seven days a week to answer any queries. This contact will be your account manager and will oversee all pricing, operational arrangements and will ensure that all load moving projects are completed as planned.
Machine Move Export Packing and Shipping
Merritts is able to provide export packing and shipping services. This means we are able to provide comprehensive machine removal services to move equipment from a customer site, transport to our warehouse facility using machine skates and arrange for the equipment to be packed to any specification and shipped to any destination in the world.
