Therapeutic Action:

Oral Vitamin Therapy. Vitamin D promotes the absorption and regulates the metabolism of calcium and phosphate for normal bone mineralization. Vitamin D3, along with calcitonin and parathyroid hormone, regulates blood calcium levels by increasing phosphate and calcium plasma levels. ATC Code: A11CC05

Indications:

SUBICAL is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of Vitamin D deficiency, dietary deficiency of Vitamin D, inadequate exposure to sunlight or fat malabsorption. Vitamin D deficiency may result in rickets (in children) and osteomalacia (the softening of the bones in adults). SUBICAL is also indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in patients with inadequate dietary intake of calcium or vitamin D.
