MPL's standard packets range in sizes beginning with a 1 x 2 inch "ketchup packet" designed to hold a few grams, but our fully adjustable, multi-lane machines are able to accommodate many other sizes and fill weights. If you are looking for something more unique, MPL's engineering team can also custom design and build tooling for virtually any shape packet. Our piston pumps are capable of filling liquids into the packets but for gels, ointments, lotions, pastes, and other semi-solid dosage forms that have particular viscosity and flow characteristics, MPL is able to fabricate custom filling equipment to meet particular pharmaceutical and nutraceutical contract packaging challenges.
Packet Packaging Design
Packets are generally constructed of either plastic or foil and multi-color preprinted film can be used to meet your design requirements. Lot and expiration can be printed or embossed and tear notches can be added to facilitate ease of use. A wide range of pack off options are available to meet your sales and logistical needs.
