The Material Transfer Chamber (MTC) basically serves the purpose of the subsequent insertion of materials into the isolator. This is especially important for the filling of specific quantities according to the campaign requirements. In this case the isolator remains closed for several days and a number of batches are filled – one after the other. Throughout the entire duration of the filling process air samplers and particle counters continuously prove that the interior effectively meets the requirements of the specified purity class.For this purpose so-called “MiBi-Material” (agar plates), filters, and petri dishes must be inserted into the isolator. Also other tools such as tweezers or scissors can be very helpful inside the isolator.The stand-alone Smart MTC of METALL+PLASTIC sterilizes and forwards materials safely and fast in other sterile zones.The Smart MTC is a chamber which can provide several filling line isolators with all possible materials. The material being inserted is getting decontaminated with H2O2 inside the Smart MTC and then transported and inserted to its place of use via the so-called “Transfer Port”.
