Earth Rite - Static Grounding Solution

Earth Rite - Static Grounding Solution

STATIC GROUNDING SOLUTIONS & INTERLOCK SYSTEMS

Wherever there is a real danger of conductive plant equipment and materials accumulating static charge within flammable and combustible atmospheres, Newson Gale’s range of Earth-Rite Static Grounding for Road Tankers Monitoring & Interlock Systems provide added operational safety for critical hazardous area processing and handling operations.

  • Tank Truck and Railcar flammable product transfer.
  • Filling, mixing and blending of flammable / combustible materials in Drums, IBCs, Totes, Portable Containers and Mobile Tanks.
  • Multiple Grounding of potentially isolated conductive components of manufacturing and processing systems.
  • Filling or discharging Type C FIBCs and static dissipative plastic drums in flammable or combustible atmospheres.
  • Monitoring fixed Tanks and Vessels in storage and distribution facilities.

Earth-Rite tanker static grounding device & interlock systems enable organisations to clearly demonstrate international “Best Practice”, compliance with IEC 60079-32; NFPA77; API RP 2003 and other world-wide technical standards and codes of practice governing the control of static mobile static earthing system electricity in hazardous areas.

Precision and reliability is what the Earth-Rite II RTR provides to HAZLOC safety professionals and engineers who are tasked with protecting personnel and plant assets from the ignition hazards of static electricity during tank truck loading and unloading operations. The loading and unloading of tank trucks with large quantities of chemicals and powders generates static electricity which, if left to accumulate on a tank truck, could discharge electrostatic grounding device  sparks with energies far in excess of the minimum ignition energies of a vast range of combustible gases, vapours and dusts. The ignition of such atmospheres by static electricity can be prevented by ensuring the tank truck is grounded.
