Atosiban Applications:

Atosiban is an Oxytocin antagonist. It has been shown that some women with a tendency to premature labour have an elevated concentration of Oxytocin in the plasma. Atosiban binds competitively to myometrial oxytocin membrane receptors without giving any inter cellular biochemical signals. Atosiban is used to prohibit uterus contraction at premature labour.
