Oral liquid dosage forms include solutions, syrups, suspensions, elixirs and concentrates. Better patient compliance in people who find swallowing pills or capsules difficult, and more flexible dosage control than a fixed-dose tablet.

We have considerable experience of overcoming these challenges through the effective use of excipients to modify the behaviour and properties of the formulation without impeding the efficacy of the API.

Liquid dosage forms are most commonly found in medicines for geriatric and paediatric patients. However, they have certain advantages, including fast efficacy due to the absence of dissolution time and more rapid absorption in the stomach and intestines than tablets.
