Introduction:

Macsen Labs Group has begun construction of a new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing plant near its existing unit, Macsen Drugs, located in the RIICO Industrial Area, Gudli, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Features:

Covering 25,000 square metres, the new plant is five times larger than the current Macsen Drugs site, which holds certifications from the US FDA, TGA-GMP, and WHO-GMP.

The facility is designed for operational flexibility and future expansion. It will house several API production blocks capable of supporting a wide range of complex manufacturing processes for different therapeutic areas.

A dedicated research and development (R&D) centre will also be built, covering 15,000 square feet. 

The new plant is expected to begin production by the end of 2025.
