Andersen Products was founded in 1958 by Dr. H.W. Andersen. As a young surgeon at Bellevue hospital in New York, Dr. Andersen developed a line of nasogastric tubes and wound drains that dramatically improved upon then current designs. The company’s first manufacturing operation was established in Oyster Bay, New York in 1963. The need to sterilize these products led to the creation of a breakthrough method of ethylene oxide (EO or EtO) sterilization utilizing a flexible sterilization chamber. High efficiency EO sterilizers employing flexible chamber technology (EO – FCT) are now the company’s core business. Andersen Sterilizers is headquartered in Haw River, North Carolina. We operate a UK office in Essex, and partner with a select group of distributors around the world.
