Metal Expansion Joints: the starting point for SACOME
In 1978 SACOME had set out on its trajectory designing and manufacturing metal expansion joints for nuclear applications, that’s why our company got the 2nd level and carried out a great quantity of projects in this field.
At the same time SACOME had been developing manufacturing and design technologies of the different kind of expansion joints, aimed to different petrochemical companies and to the most important engineering companies.
Parallel to these events, SACOME started to give solutions in the field of metal expansion joints with large diameters for combined cycle power plants and air-cooled condensers; for these applications our staff has designed different configurations as axial, lateral, angular, universal and pressure-balanced compensators from DN1500 up to DN5500. Today, SACOME has become one of the leading manufacturers of matallic expansion joints worldwide.
Corrugated tube heat exchangers with our own corrugation technology
At that time of internal development and international expansion, we made a start on assessing other lines of research and development related to the field of Heat Transfer, which would very soon become a reality for us.
Shortly after the beginning of our activity in the Thermal Exchange sector, both our R+D+i Department and our Production Department were fully involved in the research and development of new technologies for the manufacture and design of tubular heat exchangers allowed us to develop a new manufacturing line and expand our product portfolio.
At that time, with our own tube corrugating technology for our corrugated tube heat exchangers, we began our activity in the design, engineering and manufacture of tubular heat exchangers in their different configurations, geometries and sizes.
Process Plants and Pressure Vessels
After being immersed in the world of Thermal Transfer and tubular heat exchangers manufacturing, we made it our goal to continue growing as a company. And with the main objective to be focused on the needs of our clients of the Sanitary, Pharmaceutical and Industrial sectors.
Our R+D+i Department was involved in the research for new improvements in our manufacturing systems. At the same time, new applications and design procedures were developed by our engineers, mainly for the Sanitary Sector (Food Industry); although other sectors of application, such as the Pharmaceutical and Industrial sectors, were covered very soon.
The efforts of our R+D+i Department and the great background of both, our technical staff and our manufacturing staff, made it possible to launch the new SACOME manufacturing lines for Process Plants and Pressure Vessels.
