Our acute toxicity studies are designed to evaluate the adverse effects that occur either immediately or at a short time interval — within 24 hours — after a single or multiple administration of a substance. Adverse effects are any effects that produce functional impairments in organs and/or biochemical lesions, which could alter the functioning of the organism in general or individual organs. As such, our study designs typically focus on evaluating these endpoints to thoroughly assess the short term effect of your test article.
