Kjeltec™ 8100 Automated Protein Determination System (FOSS)
STANDARD EQUIPMENT FOR ACCURATE, SAFE AND SIMPLE PROTEIN DETERMINATION.
Kjeltec systems enable protein and nitrogen analysis according to Kjeldahl and can be used for different types of samples; from meat and meat products to wastewater.
The systems enable reproducible results independent of the human factor in accordance with standard methods (AOAC, EPA, DIN, ISO).
Various models are available; from the basic distillation unit to a fully automated implementation, including a colorimetric titration unit and an automatic sampler, as well as calculation of the result and preparation of a report. The addition of all reagents is automatic, except for the trapping solution. The same applies to the emptying of test tubes after the end of distillation. The steam supply speed can be regulated. All systems have a sensor for measuring the temperature of the distillate and automatic regulation of the cooling water valve.
KJELTEC SYSTEMS
Kjeltec systems allow the analyst to work safely with the help of built-in sensors for the correct placement of test tubes, for closing the safety covers, for monitoring the amount of reagents. The patented SAfE (Steam Addition for Equilibration) technology enables safe work with a special mixing process. After adding water, the system introduces steam before adding base. In this way, it reduces the exothermic reaction and enables the dissolution of the salt without a violent reaction and prevents the possible loss of nitrogen.
DETACHABLE BLOCKS
Decomposition blocks are used for acid decomposition with concentrated H2SO4 before the determination of nitrogen according to Kjeldahl, in the determination of trace metals, phosphorus and other analytical methods. Both basic and fully automated switching blocks are available, which enable safe and precise work, without the need for constant supervision. 8 and 20 city blocks are available for 100, 250 and 400 ml tubes. In addition, suitable fume hoods and a fume neutralizer are available to protect the digester from corrosive SO3 fumes. The equipment is compatible with Kjeltec TM distillation systems.
