Cleanroom ceilings

Cleanroom ceilings

Cleanroom ceilings

Other considerations in designing your clean room are the ceiling system along with the filtration system and the light fixtures. Depending on the application and use of your cleanroom, the ceiling might be the most important part of your cleanroom.

Unlike most cleanroom ceilings, Mecarts ceiling systems do not require ceiling grids with parallel and perpendicular bar framework. Similar to our clean room wall panel system, our ceiling system uses prefabricated and pre-engineered steel panels with preconfigured HEPA/ULPA filters, lighting and fire sprinklers. The absence of tiles make our ceilingssmooth finish easier to clean.

Our self-supported clean room structure allows us to provide truly walkable ceilings for every cleanroom project. With Mecarts walkable ceilings and the access to utilities within the ceiling, maintenance costs are considerably reduced, not to mention the minimizing of down time and no need to revalidate the clean room after the maintenance has been completed.

OUR CEILINGS FEATURES & BENEFITS

WALKABLE CEILINGS

Mecarts modular cleanrooms provide the necessary structural integrity required of a truly walkable ceiling system. Our cleanroom walkable ceiling is constructed of a self-supporting steel structure allowing for direct installation of equipment and circulation of maintenance staff on the ceiling, which eliminates the need of costly and obstructive catwalks and mezzanines. The walkable ceiling interstitial space allows easy access to HVAC control instruments and dampers, as well as allowing servicing of lights from outside the clean envelope

*Suspended ceilings are also available upon request.

PRECONFIGURED UTILITIES

Mecart ceiling panels are preconfigured for filtration and lighting. HEPA and ULPA filter units, lighting and fire sprinkler heads are integrated directly into the ceiling. Coupled with the walk capabilities of our ceiling systems, maintenance such as servicing the lights and cleaning HEPA/ULPA filters can be done from the ceiling interstitial space without entering the cleanroom thus preserving the clean environment.

SEAMLESS WALL-TO-CEILING COVING (OPTIONAL)

Coved corners are used for hard-to-clean right angles between wall-to-ceiling (and wall-to-floor) joints. These are generally required where aseptic operations are being conducted and in more stringent classes such as ISO 5 and ISO 6 which require easy to clean environments. Mecarts seamless covings are available for a fully flush corner transitions between wall-to-ceiling junctions.
