The ALTA® by Monnit Wireless IoT Gateway combines a 4G LTE CAT-M1/NB2 cellular engine and Ethernet platform (commercial only) with Monnit’s wireless access point network to aggregate and communicate data from Monnit ALTA Wireless Sensors. The ALTA IoT Gateway allows ALTA Sensors to operate on the world’s leading cellular networks and stay connected to the Internet.

To meet the global demand for enterprise IoT deployment, the IoT Gateway communicates with the cloud-based iMonnit® monitoring software via cellular transmission, making it ideal for remote locations or where the Internet isn’t available. The RJ-45 Ethernet jack (commercial only) allows local device configuration, diagnostics, and connectivity backup. The IoT Gateway is instrumental in sending sensor notifications via text, email, or call if user-defined conditions are met or exceeded.

Gateway features include:

• Bank-level security: Encrypt-RF® (Diffie-Hellman 256-bit Key Exchange and AES-128 CBC)
• Redundant power: AC main power with battery backup lasting up to 60 hours
• Superior scalability: Supports up to 100 ALTA Wireless Sensors
• Uninterrupted data collection: Onboard memory stores up to 32,000 sensor messages (Data stored during Internet outages is sent when connectivity is restored.)

• Future-proof software: Firmware over-the-air (FOTA) upgrades included
• Unmatched wireless range: Communicates with battery-powered sensors up to one mile (line-of-sight) and 1,200 ft+ through 12+ walls (non-line-of-sight)
• Location Awareness: Comes with GPS data tracking capability and is available as an add-on service via an API.
