What Nuwiq® is and what it is used for

Nuwiq® contains human recombinant coagulation factor VIII (simoctocog alfa) as the active ingredient. Factor VIII is necessary for blood to clot and bleeding to be stopped. In patients with hemophilia A (congenital factor VIII deficiency), factor VIII is absent or dysfunctional. Nuwiq® replaces the missing factor VIII and is used for the therapy and prevention (prophylaxis) of bleeding in patients with hemophilia.

Nuwiq® can be used in all age groups.
