product information

Over 5 million patients suffer from liver disease in Germany alone. The most common liver diseases are hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and fatty liver, which in turn can be a cause of liver inflammation in addition to hepatitis viruses, alcohol and certain drugs. Functional liver-bile disorders occur, for example, when the liver produces too little bile acid or bile secretion is disturbed. Hepaplex ® contains a combination of proven and coordinated homeopathic liver and bile remedies in low potencies, mainly D1 to D4.

Active Ingredient Information

Berberis vulgaris (Common Barberry)

Berberis is used in homeopathic preparations for diseases of the liver and gallbladder, among other things. Charette also recommends barberries for hepatic colic.

Chelidonium majus (celandine)

Celandine is an inflammatory agent in homeopathy and is also valued for stone formation and chronic disorders of the liver-gallbladder system. Wiesenauer also considers Chelidonium for hepatitis, as well as hepatopathy and fatty liver.

Silybum marianum (milk thistle)

Milk thistle is the liver remedy par excellence in phytotherapy and has a recognized effectiveness in liver-gallbladder diseases in homeopathic preparations. Wiesenauer cites it for cholecystopathy, hepatitis and liver detoxification.

Veronica virginica (Leptandra)

The state expert commission D for homeopathic medicines confirms the effectiveness of Veronica virginica for use in inflammation of the liver and biliary system. Wiesenauer describes the use of Leptandra in patients with a removed gallbladder, in cholecystopathy and in burning and dull pain in the gallbladder area.
