Pressure Vessel Filled with Nitrate Removal Resin
Our pressure vessels are constructed using reinforced fibreglass and food grade high density polyethylene (HDPE), containing no welds or joins. This sets an industry standard for delivering great strength and performance for pressure and temperature ratings.
Designed for a wide range of personal and industrial applications, our resin is most commonly used in the aquatics industry and in drinking water systems. It is a macroporous strongly basic anion resin which is tailor-made to suit removal of nitrate ions from water for potable uses. The proper mix of physio-chemical properties gives ideal nitrate exchange kinetics to this resin making suitable for nitrate removal in the presence of sulphate ions.
Nitrates occur within our water due to the Nitrogen fertilisers, containing forms of ammonia, being one of the most popular compounds used within the agricultural industry. Nutrients from these compounds are provided to crops when water dissolves the fertilisers within the ground. However, not all of these compounds can be consumed by the crops, meaning nitrates enter local water sources and cause adverse health effects on humans and animals that consume them.
