It plays an important role in transporting hormones, fatty acids, thyroid hormones, and other biological compounds, and also helps maintain the pH of the blood, acting as a buffer. Albumin maintains homeostasis by controlling oncotic pressure as well as by scavenging free radicals. It also has anti-coagulatory and anti-inflammatory properties. Our Albumin is 585 amino acids long, expressed in Pichia Pastoris.
