Content
1 g of gel contains 10 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride.

Therapeutic indications

Skin and mucosal itching of various etiology (allergic skin reactions, sun-burns and first-grade thermal burns, insect stings, urticaria, pruritic eczema, varicella).

Action

The active substance of the gel - diphenhydramine hydrochloride - is the first generation histamine H1 receptor blocker with marked antihistamine activity. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride reduces itching, oedema and hyperemia (redness). It also has marked antiallergic and local anesthetic effect. The excipient added to gel – lidocaine hydrochloride - is a local anesthetic, which reduces pain associated with itching.

Doses and mode of administration

A thin layer of the gel should be applied on the itching area 3 to 4 times a day and rubbed into the skin. It is recommended to use the gel for a maximum of 7 days. If it is necessary to use the gel for a longer period of time, consult the doctor.
