The fully automatic Microtome A550 incorporates maximum reliability and user benefits thanks to its high sectioning stability and precision. The diverse setting options enable adaptation to all work processes in the laboratory and thus cover all fields of application in routine, research and industry.
The motorized cutting drive enables an optimal result in section quality and reproducibility. The sectioning area window, which can be adjusted to the size of the object and whose freely selectable speed applies to the sectioning area, is particularly user-friendly. In this way, even sensitive samples can be processed precisely and with little effort. The large section thickness range from 0.25 µm to 500 µm is divided into fine sectioning and trimming areas.
With the memory positioning, sectioning positions can be saved in order to be selected again at a later point in time. The blade holder and specimen clamp (available separately) can be flexibly adjusted. The angle of the blade holder can also be adjusted as required in order to achieve an optimal cutting result.
The Microtome A550 comes with a foot switch and a handwheel, which is particularly easy to move. In order to protect the user and sample material from unwanted movements, it can be detected at any time using a switch. The device also has an emergency stop switch.
Five different modes are available to use with the Microtome A550. The sectioning speed is adjustable between 1 and 150 mm / s. The various settings are made via an LCD display with a soft-touch keyboard.
During the process, the section waste is collected in the large-volume tub on the front of the device. It can be easily removed for cleaning and thus supports the hygienic cleanliness of the workplace. Thanks to additional storage space on the surface of the housing, required accessories can be stored within easy reach.
