Product Details
The Microtome M380 is designed to meet multiple requirements of histology or histopathology labs. It is also suitable for use in research labs as well as industrial quality assurance. While the design and features are based on the semi-automatic Microtome M530, this manual model can be used flexibly without the need of a nearby power outlet.
With its high-precision mechanics inside, the Microtome M380 permits quality sections, while maintaining a high, consistent throughput. Great functionality and the appealing design are key features. Optimal user comfort enables a rapid, safe and smooth sectioning, even under heavy workload.
The handwheel in particular supports the user comfort during sectioning. With its notable ease of motion, it prevents early signs of fatigue and enables continued use for a long period of time. When not in use, the handwheel can easily be locked with a switch, to prevent involuntary movement. The torsion-free design provides extra stability and therewith safety for the sensitive specimens.
The integrated sectioning waste tray is resistant to xylene. When working on the Microtome M380, section waste is collected there. To clean it, the tray can easily be detached. For extra storage space the top of the casing can be used, keeping accessories, e. g. brushes for stretching, within comfortable reach.
