Designed for use with the Agilent 7693 Autosampler, the SIM Syringe Heater maintains a constant sample temperature throughout the injection process - from drawing it from the sample vial to injecting it into the GC injector. In conjunction with a heated sample tray, this guarantees reliable analysis results and trouble-free operation.

With a standard autosampler, samples that are not completely liquid at room temperature can only be injected into the GC in conjunction with a heated sample tray. However, the substance in the syringe can also become solid again here, so that the syringe becomes clogged and measurements that are not reproducible can result in the run being aborted. The SIM syringe heater, which can be set to temperatures of up to 65°C, can help here. Substances such as higher alcohols can be injected easily and reproducibly into the GC at a syringe temperature of 50°C without the syringe becoming clogged.
