Pharma Pure Steam Generator

The operating principle of the pure steam generator model PPSG is based on the principle of thermal convection. The feed water is pumped into the system from the lower part of the column and is pushed into the exchanger (pipe side) connected to it, where a special level transmitter guarantees a constant level in the evaporation column.The heating fluid (industrial steam or heated water) enters the shell side of the exchanger and is recovered by means of a condensate drain. The heated tube bundle determines an important convective motion of the water which quickly reaches the evaporation temperature.The steam produced is sent to the evaporation chamber where, thanks to its large section, the possible entrainment of impurities and non-evaporated water particles is avoided. Subsequently these move towards the lower part of the column to return to the tube bundle thanks to the convective motion.A double separator, which acts as a second drop separation system, is positioned in the upper part of the column to obtain high quality pure steam.

The supply of pure steam is controlled by a pneumatic modulating valve activated in turn by a pressure transducer; in this way the pure steam output is regulated according to the pressure required inside the boiling chamber.
