Bin Blender - Tumbler
The Tumbler is a mixer for BIN , designed for the mixing and homogenization of dry powders and is mainly used within the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry in all those powder handling processes where there is the need to mix the powders in homogeneously and directly in the Bin eliminating the operations of loading, unloading and cleaning of the mixer.
The Tumbler produces an efficient mixing effect thanks to a double inclination of 15 ° with respect to the rotation axis of the machine itself and rotates the BIN both clockwise and anticlockwise.
The Tumbler has an electromechanical locking system of the Bin in order to ensure the position of the platform always horizontal during the Bin loading / unloading phase and at the end of each processing cycle. The Tumbler is designed with a highly technological design and a structure that makes it easy to inspect and clean. It is made up:
- Supporting structure : made up of carbon steel profiles anchored to the floor by means of log bolts.
- Lifting platform : consisting of an AISI 304 arm connected to sliding guides whose movement is carried out by means of a screw-nut screw system operated by an electric motor.
- External casing : made of an AISI 304 sheet metal shaped in such a way as to cover the supporting structure of the Tumbler.
- Gearmotor group : consisting of an electric motor coupled to a reducer for the Bin rotation function.
- Control panel
The Tumbler is designed according to the cGMP good manufacturing standards and in compliance with current safety regulations, it is equipped with a series of magnetic sensors and photoelectric barriers that guarantee both passive and active safety and greater prevention in the event that the system breakdown.
The Tumbler is managed by a PLC system which, connected to the safety sensors and to the arm closing block, activates the electric motor for the rotation of the bin. This motor is able to rotate the bin to be mixed both clockwise and anticlockwise at a variable speed between 4 rpm and 20 rpm.
