"DRUM BLENDER" drum mixer
This type of Blender consists of a DRUM mixer designed for mixing and homogenizing dry powders. It is used in all pharmaceutical, chemical, food, plastic, mineral handling processes, where there is the need to mix the powders homogeneously and directly in the drums, eliminating the loading, unloading and cleaning of the mixer.
The Drum Blender is managed by a PLC system, which, connected to the safety sensors and to the closing system of the external structure, activates the electric motor for the rotation of the drum. This motor is able to rotate the drum both clockwise and anticlockwise at a variable speed according to the specifications requested by the customer.
The Drum Blender generates a mixing effect up to 30 ° thanks to a “tilting” system.
It is designed with a highly technological design and a structure that makes it easy to inspect and clean. It is made up:
- Internal structure in galvanized carbon steel which represents the load-bearing structure of the machine;
- External casing in AISI 304 steel;
- External safety structure made of AISI 304 steel and lexan panels, with an electro-lock system so as to guarantee mixing in complete safety (in the event that the Drum Blender is not installed in a work room dedicated solely to the same machinery);
- Fixed front wheels and pivoting rear wheels (equipped with brakes) that allow easy movement of the machine within the department;
- AISI 304 steel arm designed to mix drums from 2 liters up to 200 liters, with a maximum capacity of 200 kg;
- Gearmotor group for the rotation of the arm;
- Drum gripping group with closing bands with a simple design and easy to tighten;
- Touch panel from which it is possible to carry out the loading / unloading and mixing operations of the drum.
The Drum Blender is made up of two main models, the smallest able to mix drums from 2 to 50 liters and the superior model that can mix drums from 50 to 200 liters.
The Drum Blender is designed in accordance with the "cGMP guidelines" standards, in compliance with current safety regulations, UNI EN ISO regulations, ATEX regulations (where required) and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations in accordance with which we provide a system central security, automatic differentiation of roles, reporting and traceability of transactions.
The Drum Blender, in line with AGIERRE 's design and construction philosophy, can be customized according to the specific process requests by the Customer; falls into the category of Industry 4.0 machinery for its highly technological operation managed by computerized systems and for the improvement of ergonomics and workplace safety in a 4.0 logic.
